With our understanding of the ILEC and Co-op community
and our desire to design programs that enhance their
long-term financial success; we have developed a VoIP
toll service that works toward this goal.
NCG’s VoIP toll service allows the ILEC to direct a long
distance call from an end-user (utilizing the current
ANI) to their switch. Once it hits the switch it is
directed either to a media gateway or a T.1. This
process is very similar to the normal PICing process.
The media gateway or the T.1 is pointed toward an IP
address over the Internet. The call will then come out
of the Internet cloud and be terminated in TDM fashion.
Again, we have designed this program for the benefit of
the ILEC. Utilizing this configuration an ILEC will be
able to –
-
Maintain their current ANI
-
Continue to collect settlement for the line
-
Depending on your configuration you might retain some
of your originating access
We
have identified three customer groups that an ILEC is at
risk to loose to a VoIP provider –
-
Customer who utilize an ILEC’s DSL service
-
Customers who have a cable service where broadband
service is available
-
Customer using more than 200 minutes of monthly toll
service
To
your customers the advantages are numerous (versus a
full service VoIP, Vonage-type service).
-
The customer receives all the great benefits of a land
line.
-
The customer doesn’t have to worry about loosing phone
service if the electricity goes out.
-
The customer still has access to the current 911
service.
-
Both Toll-Free and any conference calling calls are
the same quality that customer have come to expect
over the TDM network. The ILEC will still receive
originating access on these calls.
-
For the customers that have alarm systems no costly
upgrades or additional equipment is required, like you
would need with a VoIP service (or Vonage-type) arena
has these requirements.
NCG
has worked exclusively with the ILEC and Co-op community
since the mid 1990’s. We always treat you like you
treat your own customers. Utilizing this NCG VoIP toll
service is a win-win situation, both for your customer
and your company.
